Project contributions
My Contributions to the Team:
- Researched Drone Types: I explored different types of drones available on the market using Google, which helped me understand various drone technologies. I focused on drones used in industries like agriculture, construction, and delivery, learning about their features such as payload capacity, flight time, and automation capabilities.
- Explored Delivery Concepts: I investigated drone delivery systems, comparing existing models like Zipline’s medical delivery service with other companies, such as MeiTuan in China, which uses drones for deliveries. This research led me to consider ways to improve Zipline’s approach, particularly for medical deliveries, by enhancing payload efficiency and flight range.
- Identified Technologically Lagging Countries: I researched countries with slower technological adoption, particularly those with limited infrastructure or healthcare services, where drone delivery could be beneficial. These regions could greatly benefit from the efficiency and reach drones offer in delivering critical goods like medical supplies.
- Evaluated Drone Delivery: Using ChatGPT, I analyzed the advantages of drone delivery systems, such as cost reduction and speed, while also considering challenges like regulatory issues, airspace management, and safety. This analysis helped me understand the complexities involved in scaling up drone delivery services.
- Organized the Team Report: I structured and organized the team report in Google Docs, setting clear sections and delegating tasks to ensure everyone’s contributions were aligned with the project’s objectives. This organization helped create a cohesive and well-structured final report.
- Tidied Up Illustrations and Citations: I ensured all visuals and in-text citations were correctly formatted and consistent, paying attention to the reference list to ensure accuracy and adherence to the required citation style.
